Good evening/morning
So I have my first 2g dsm and I must say I'm truly enjoying my first project car. I was wondering if anyone could help me I could just be overlooking it but I'm having trouble trying to figure out with the RS model what other car crosses with it. I plan on doing the half radiator down the line but for now just getting her up and running. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to ask. But are you referring to an Eagle Talon ESI possibly? Both have 420a drivetrains, same interiors etc. Just different front and rear fascia and exterior options.

Also, where are you planning on buying a half radiator for this car? I'm pretty sure nobody is still producing those. You could get one custom made though.

I've been trying to find parts for the RS and ben having the hardest time finding stuff but I noticed with the other models they could cross reference with another car. But I will definitely look into that car. I've seen some on aftermarket websites and just googling them I've seen some.

If you send me a list of all the parts you need I could try and hook you up if I have any. And yea our parts market has dwindled down significantly over the past few years. It usually isn't too bad finding stock replacement parts but there aren't many aftermarket parts anymore due to low demand.

Oh wow thanks. I definitely know I need catalytic converter, ecu, headers, rims, rotors, any aftermarket parts if you have any. I want to redo the carpet also it's not in the best shape so if you have carpet or know a site i can get one from. It's not in the best shape but I can see the vision for it. When I got it whenever it would rain water would leak in through thr sunroof and the windshield but I got that fixed now.

The only reason I could figure is turbo fitment. That's more common in Hondas though. Most 420a turbo manifolds are short and have a flange for a T3 or T4 turbo, which there's plenty of clearance for with the stock radiator. You might have to get a slim A/C fan, or delete it if the A/C is getting deleted as well.

For carpet I went through Stock Interiors. This link should take you straight to their page for a 97 Eclipse Coupe GS/RS:

Be aware that the carpet isn't "plug and play." You will have to cut the bolt holes and trim the edges yourself. Also helps to have a heat gun to form the carpet for a perfect fit. A beginner can get the carpet in and fit but a factory look might take some time and skill.

Cat, rims, and rotors are all easily available, as long as you are okay with generic. Ecu will be harder to find. You can try www.car-part.com. Plus you can post a WTB (want to buy) ad on here for what you need and see if folks in this community have them.

Ok thanks I will definitely take a look at the carpet website.. ok I will heed that warning I'm sure I'll cut something to short but will definitely look into getting a heat gun.

Heard rock auto doesn't have the best reviews I've never personal brought anything from them usually go to the dealer for my other car.

Ok nice I wasn't sure if I could post a wtb since I'm still new to the site.

Yea the half radiator is for more room. I definitely don't want to get rid of the a/c as the summers get up to 100° or hotter some days.
