97 gsx burning oil think after long idle

hi i tried to research this but cant get a clear answer. i have a 97 gsx with 100000 miles on it couple days ago i was at a parking lot just sitting with the car on for like half hour then when i took off there was a brownish or dark cloud for about 20 seconds behind my car like it was a lot. i dont notice this dark smoke when i drive normal or even hard. only it happens when i lit with the car on for a long time. the longer i have the car on the longer the smoke will be when i take off. it only happend like 5 times too me. my car is stock it just has a muffler and bov. does the car oil have anything to do with this ???? the car idles good just if i press the gas a lot when i let go the car feels like it might stall but when its just on its good. the turbo is stock and it pulls strong and spools quickly. i loose some oil but no more that a 2 quarts every oil change like 3000 miles..........also my o2 sensor needs to be replaced would this have anything to do with it ???????????? please help i have you all the info i can

Sounds like your runnin rich. Maybe PCV valve it might have failed.
I seen a few WRx's blowin pumes of blak smoke on take look MEAN IMO.

i called pep boys and the one they have is only like 5 bucks you know if that pcv is good or where should i get one from??? also the car does burn a lot of gas from a tank i get like 240 miles at the most that with a lot of highway

That PCV valve should do just fine.
Is your Egr blocked my mpg's went down a bit afterwards.

If it doesnt stop blowin black plumes your catalytic conv. may be clogged due to runnin rich.
Also it could be your Fuel press regulator check it.
One step at a time though.
Runnin rich causes you to get poor fuel mileage.

how would i go about checking if my egr was blocked??

Its behind the intake manifold its disclored a steel/copper pipe that bolts onto your intake mani with two bolts if its not there well its been removed.
If its there, the only way to know is if you unbolt it. Takes a few minutes if theres a plate with no hole its blocked if its just a gasket it O.K.
Its usually blocked off to keep exhaust gas from recirculating into the intake manifold dirties the hell out of it and it gives the car a healthier breath.

hey wats up i changed my o2 sensor but now my does not run good when i turn it on the cars stays about 1500 to 2000 rpm the whole time.........also my lights when i turn them on wont turn off then i turn them off they stay on the whole time.............my horn when i press it stays on the whole time too.......to reset it i have to disconnect the battery but each time it happens again what should i do ????

You should start a new thread someone will give it more attention cause you got people looking at your original thread line and wont know the fix; but might know the fix for your new prob.Just a suggestion though. Hope everything works out
BTW is your car still runnin rich?
