97 gsx alarm malfunction. Please help

For some reason my f actory alarm keep going off by itself. It will be parked and the all of a sudden start going off? Is there a way to disable it? It keeps killing my battery because the light flash a lot. Can any one help w what to check first

Interesting, mine has done this like two or three times. However, after like a minute or two it stops on it's own. Yours does not stop?

I am not surprised if this was a stock factory alarm giving you issues when you are trying to disable it. I hear another "clean" way to disarm it is to ground the green/white wire located in the bundle of wires going through to the door panel. This is the wire I connected my aftermarket alarm's factory disarm wire and works like a charm. And with a search you will see different methods of how others try to disarm theirs.

ok i had the same problem with mine too and OMFG it was annoying. One thing that you need to know about our factory alarm is that supposibly its connected to our ECU so you cant just unplug it but what you can do is have it deactivated.

I had the same problem where my alarm would go off and drain the battery or just simply just drain my battery without the alarm going off which was more confusing because i thought it was my battery and altenator and it was a long time before i figured out where the problem was coming from. Just go to a shop and have them put a switch on your ride where you can deactivate it.

there is a relay under the radio that is the alarm relay unplug that, take out the fuse for the alarm under the hood and dash.
