Ok, I'm not sure I understand the whole CAS inversion thing.
Here's my setup, a 97 GST with a 1G 6 bolt swap, a blacktop CAS with a RRE wiring harness all running into a 95 ECU with V3 DSMLink. I talked to my mechanic, and since i have a COP setup he hardwired the swapped plug wire signals, but I'm having a hard time deciding if I need to invert the CAS signal in dsmlink. I got the car from the mechanic without the invert signal checkbox checked. I've tried running it both with it inverted and with it left in the standard configuration. I noticed allot of missing and stuttering with it inverted during hard acceleration, I don't notice this when I leave the box unchecked. However, my car has idle issues, it ranges from 550-1000 depending on how it's feeling i guess, and I have to do some cranking to get it to start as well and I'm wondering if I actually need to run the inverted CAS signal.
Could someone please help me out.

Yes, you still need to invert the signal because the CAS on a '95-'96 is on the other side of the engine under the cam gears.

The missing/hesitation your feeling under hard acceleration isn't from the inverted CAS signal, it can be a number of things. Boost leaks, fouled plugs, your tune, or the COP setup can all cause missing and stuttering under hard acceleration. Typically most post up a log with an updated mods list in their profile and we might be able to point something out.

I know that there is allot of tuning to do to it yet and thats why I didn't post any of my logs. But if you want I can. Just keep in mind there's allot to do to it yet.
I just dont understand how the thing runs better with the cam signal 180 out than it does with it inverted "how it should be". Anyway, I'll pull a few log files off of my other computer and post them tonight for you to look at.

Do you have to do the invert on a 97 with a 97 ecu. What is different from 96 to 97.

The '95-'96 CAS is on the timing side of the motor so you must invert the CAS signal if...
a. You've got a '95-'96 ECU in a '97-'99.
b. You've got a 1g or '97-'99 CAS on a '95-'96.

If you've got a '97-'99 ECU/harness/CAS then inverting the signal isn't necessary.

Not necessary but does it make the car run perfect apposed to just good.
