I have a 96 gsx with a evo 16g. I just rebuilt my motor. I started it up and went to move it and it will barely move, it will not even register how fast I'm going because it barely moves. It will rev up it i pump the gas, i cant hold the gas or it will try to die. it also back fires if i rev it up.. I replaced the egr valve thinking it was that and it was not. please help

Ok, First off.. need to work on that English and sentence structure, your post in very hard to read. Second, plan out what you want to say because you're making very little sense. Capitals and punctuation are your friend.

This isnt myspace, we need clear info to be able to help you out.

I would say, check for boost leaks and then report back. Boost leaks can cause what you are describing.

I checked for boost leaks could not find any. I have had a boost leak before and it still would do like 20mph . Plus when i rev it up, it builds boost and has enough to blow off.. So I do not think its a boost leek. Sorry for the grammar!! I'm not really good with punicatioin. Thank You anyone that tries to help !

Are you recirculating the blow off valve? If you aren't it can cause the car to run pretty badly.

Make sure your injectors are siting properly in their o-rings. If you have a FMIC check the bottom couplers and make sure they are not blown out and there is a boost leak. Thats all i can think of so far.

Iam having the exact same problem. that is once the car is runing, it takes sum starting fluid to convince it tho. the engine wasnt getting the fuel it needed, so i got a afpr. just instaled it today, hopfully after i adjust it the car will run.

No I'm not recirculating the blow off valve, and I have always done that never had a problem...... Yeah i have the MAF plugged in. Thanks Again!!

You might want to think about recirculating it, unless you have a gm maf, which isn't listed in your mods profile. After having your motor out and battery unplugged, your ECU will have reset, and could the car could be running like trash because the computer is trying to run on the stock setting of having the blow of valve recirculated.

Even if this isn't the problem at the moment, it could cause problems down the road.

No I'm not sure if i getting the right fuel pressure... I have a FPR but i don know how to install because is for all cars. So i have not put the FPR on.. I'm not to sure what a FMIC is but when i rebuilt the motor i did put new seals and o rings in. I will try and recirculate. I will let you know how it goes.. and i forgot to put on my profile and on this form that i installed a walbro 255 fuel pump to..Thanks

FMIC is front mount intercooler, as your profile says you have.

255 fuel pump with no AFPR could also be a problem, as there could be way too much fuel reaching the injectors.

Bad fuel pressure, a very bad boost leak, or low compression on the motor is what comes to mind for me. Even though you just rebuilt the motor there could be a problem.

Venting is not the issue right now. I might also add that I have vented on a stock 2g MAS without issue.

yeah..No Boost leek 100% sure .. i was working on it to day and i started it up and it stayed at 2 grand the hole time.. so i unplugged #4 injector and the idie went down and i reved it up it didnt back fire as bad so i'm thinking way to much fuel!! any other thoughts? .....what can i do to hook up AFPR.. I have one but i dont know how to hook it up...

you take the stock fpr off the fuel rail.

install the adaptor on the fuel rail, , put the line on the afpr, put the little vaccum line on the afpr, i mounted mine on the firewall.

Were can i get this adaptor form? Dont have a lot of money.

I worked on my car today and I pulled off my vac line to the SFPR. And Started the car and the car ran the same.. So could that mean my SFPR is bad? Could that be my problem?

Places like FIC or JNZTuning sell the adapters.

Your setup should look something like this.
