96 gsx with 6 bolt swap wont start

i am new to the site and i just bought my first dsm about 2 weeks ago and ive been trying to get it running but i havent had very good luck the first nite i started to work on it all i did was mess with the plug wires then it fired rite up but it was also getting alot of gas then the timing belt snaged the plug wire so i rigged it and got it running again by pull starting it this time but the timing belt was loose and fell off but it didnt do nething to the engine then i went and bought new wires i think i bought them for a 96 not a 6 bolt idk if that matters or not but now i cant get it started and i have been using the 96 firing order witch is 1-3-4-2 on the head with 1 being the furthest from cam gears and im not sure about the coil any help would be greatful.

was that a wrong link my fault. firing order should be 4-3-2-1 if i remember corectly for a 6bolt

If the engine was running, or turned over when the timing belt fell off, the valves are bent.

i dont think they are everything was checked and seems to be good yet and do you kno the order on the coil?

Any other ideas anyone have?

You want to follow the diagram in the first link George provided.

Across the head it should be:
CAS - 4-3-2-1 - cam gears

On the coil pack it should be (coils facing you):
L - 3-2-4-1 - R


Make sure you timing is set properly and the belt is tensioned before trying to start again.
