2G 95tsi with 97 ecu dsmlink questions

You dont need cas inversion checked, 1-3-4-2 is the firing order, there are two ignition coils, each coil has two spark plug wires coming from it, one coil fires plugs 1 and 4 and the the other fires plugs 2 and 3, cylinder one is the first one next to the timing belt and number four is next to the transmission bellhousing.

I appreciate your help but I realized I’m an idiot. I thought I bought an eprom 97 ecu and was having no start issue. I just checked ecu and it’s from a 95!!! Swapped wires again and it fired right up! Crappy idle but it’s a good start.

There was no eprom ecu after 95'-96', experienced Dsmers like myself already know that, I took that into consideration when I answered your question!:dsm:

And that’s exactly why I went out and double checked! Kept seeing things saying it’s extra work to convert the 97 to run dsmlink etc. figured it wasn’t very popular so I should prob double check haha! I’m so relieved I got it going, been a pain in the butt
