I just got a socketed eprom ecu from CL, however it appears to have the stock chip in it.

In order to install DSMlink, would i still have to send it out ecmtuning? Or can i just order the DSMlink kit and put the chip in myself?

Thanks

That is a socketed ecu. You should be all set. All you have to do is order a new package. They will send everything you need. You'll just have to change the chips yourself. They are not shipping new or upgraded versions til July 8th though per their website.

Awesome, thank you.

Does the old chip just pop out? Also, is there any soldering required to put the dsmlink chip in the socket, or does it just sit in there?
