95 virgin w/98k miles, build

okay so i started my build as of today, i can only do so much because im currently unemployed and dont have the funds to do it all fast, but that's what a project is, taking your time, so bare . .im taking my COMPLETELY stock 95 gsx with only 98k miles and building it.. my build consists of a wire tuck/fuse box and battery relocation, replace grey dash with black dash and paint all panels and seats black. and I want to paint my engine bay different color then the exterior. Exterior:from red to black

Interior:from grey leather to black everything including dash

Cage/roll bar: same as engine bay

Engine bay:wire tuck,batt relocation, fuse box relocation...Teal(lil darker and glossier/brighter than this)

OR candy violet..

and mods are:dsmlink v2.5 for now, new cometic HG and ARP headstuds(in near future), BSE kit,255,pte880's, hks intake and exhaust 272's, hx40 hybrid, PR o2 housing with tial 35m wg, custom 3inch exhaust, roll cage/roll bar

started at 1:30 and finished at 6

So today(all by myself ) i removed axels, transmission, engine. thats all i was able to do since it got dark. here's a few pics

ill take more pics tomorrow and depending what time i get off school, im going to start pulling entire harness out and brake lines including brake booster. also start sanding away .

I like the teal sounds like it will be a good build take your time finding the parts you can save a lot buying form the classifieds hear Craigslist and eBay. Good luck and keep us updated

:headlights, bumper, bumper support
:engine harness
:chassis harness
:dash
:shocks and springs

i think if you're painting the car black you should either do the bay the same color or the teal. the teal will look nice.
its looking good though. I'm also doing my build while I'm going to school . kinda sucks but oh well

finally, it lets me upload pics. well anyways, this is from wednesday i think, maybe thursday. today i started on the fuse box, tomorrow im gonna mock up the engine harness and cut/delete the sensors im not going to use..

Wats up people, sorry about my build being a slow one but like i said, currently unemployed and going to school so its kinda hard to gather some feds... Well anyway, little update. I'm towing the car to the paint shop to get the engine bay finally painted. Once i get it back, im drop the motor in to mock up the engine harness so i can know exactly where im going to run my harness through and hopefully i dont have to re-solder any of my wires from harness ive already cut and soldered..
Heres a pictures of the color im going with(gs530), might look darker/different in picture than what it will look like omce painted.

I'm not trying to knock your build or anything, but why would you take all the time to clean up the bay and then paint it, but not take the time to remove some things like the horn, bumper brackets, or bolts?

Im not running the horn so i didnt even bother to take it off yet and didnt care if it got painted over. The bolts i left on but unscrewed to were it's only like 2 threads so paint can still stick on firewall while the bolts can be painted all at once.

This is just a mock up, im waiting on some wire loom so i can wrap these wires and it'll be permanent

Got the black dash on, hooked up the battery to make sure i have power to everything and make sure lights work,windows, and sure enough lights,dash lights, windows, and tail lights all work..my biggest fear was that id have a short somewere where my lights wouldnt work haha..next is painting interior trims black and dropping motor in =]…pics coming soon
