Wow it has been a long time since I posted here. I bought my wife another tsi about a year ago and am just now getting some time to start working on it for her. It is an automatic 1995 Talon Tsi AWD. The car idles well in park and neutral, but when you hold your foot on the brake and shift to either reverse or drive, the car bogs out and tries to die. To me it acts as if the torque converter is staying "locked up" or engaged as the car seems to try to surge forward and goes into gear very abruptly. Is this a fairly common problem or is there something completely different that could cause this problem?
Thanks,
Nick
