by buddy has a 95 eclipse rs (420a). and we want to know if its possible to swap the 4g63t into his car. is it a direct swap? or will we need to fabricate some engine mounts? or is it even possible or worth it?

In all honesty, this swap is not worth the hassle. Your best bet money and time wise would be to just sell it and buy a factory turbo DSM. If that really doesn't sound good to you, try turboing the 420a, but forget the swap... its just not worth your while.
