95 headlight switch on 97?

The headlight/highbeam/turnsignal switch on my 97 eclipse gsx no longer turns the headlights on, and doesn't keep the highbeams on. I have a 95 eagle talon tsi awd parts car and was wondering if I could take the one from my parts car and put it on my 97 eclipse?

yes you can as long as they are the same. I have seen different ones on other year cars that may not work.

Just for future reference, they are NOT the same. The plugs that the wires plug into are different.

^^agreed they are diffrent! I pretty much did the same thing to my gsx!

That is a 95-96 thing. Just use a later head light switch. You can use them from the sebrings and avengers as well. Probably some others too.

I must have an anomaly then because I am running a 95.

it depends on the build date. I found that the break switch for the pedal was used till early 97 and then they changed it over , different mounting and switch for the breaks.

check the build dates and the wiring.
