I have a 95 eprom with dsm link v3 full and was wondering if i would be able to use it in a 91 gsx? I just found a steal on a 91 gsx and plan on building it and was not sure if i could save some time and use the eprom i already have.

Yes it can be done... . How do you think people ran Dsmlink in 1g's before it was available for them and was only out for 95's.

You'll need to make a patch harness if you want the car to be able to easily swap back to a 1g ecu...

HERE circa 2003 Give thanks to Hal for the work back then. Or here is the original Link... Though you will have to wayback it... .

thanks guys big help with the link, im just torn right now if i should take the engine out of the 1g since its built with all forged internals and put it in my 2g that all it needs is a good built engine or just build the 1g. My 2g has a stage 2 jacks transmission the dsm link as mentioned before and have everything else ready to go.

Guess my next question would be could i use my 2g transmission in the 1g?

we are running a galant vr4 with 2g Eprom ECU in mexico, my 1g gsx is the next

you will need change you knock sensor and maf

thanks, looks like im probably switching platforms and gong to a 1g then LOL. Im going to have alot of work ahead of me but at least i will have another drivable dsm. I love my show car but just dont like taking it out and tearing it up im ready to have something fun to drive and not worrying about screwing up the airbrushing on the car.

Bump, I'm trying to read the links on my IPhone but it doesn't work. I need to do a 95ecu into a 1G harness for legality reasons. Someone that has done this or has links to a how to or whatever to help me, that's be appreciated.
