98 GSX, 95 Eprom, 91 CAS....confusion.

Ok, I am getting ready to drop in my built 6 bolt. I swapped all the original 98 7 bolt sensors over to the 6 bolt engine, I fixed all the coolant line issues, I removed and reinstalled the MDP sensor.

My problem is........I printed the procedure off RoadRace for wiring in the Crank/Cam sensor and went to town on wiring it in..........I did the crank angle sensor connector no sweat. As I looked at the print-out, I realized I didn't know exactly which way to wire in the Cam Angle connector.

I have a 98 GSX
I am using a 95 Eprom ECU with Keydiver Stage III options
I am using a 1991 CAS (green lid)

There were 3 different CAS wiring diagrams, and none for a hybrid set-up such as mine.
I am feeling a little stupid, but I just want to be clear and do this right, so I am asking questions.

Also, on the Cam Sensor connector, RRE shows (+) red wire and (-) black wire "NOT HOOKED UP"............does that mean comepletely not connected (like cut?) or "no change"?? There are three wires on my Cam Sensor plug, and the print-out shows only the blue wire being spliced, is that correct?

Also, my ECU has CAS inversion, will I need to change my plug wires, I am majorly confuzed.

are you running dsmlink to invert your cas? if so that only applies to the 2g ecu's im pretty sure. 95,96 are normal and 97-99 have to be inverted.

thanks for your attempt, but I got ZERO out of that. Tell me something I don't know.

Keydiver < DSMlink.

I wanna know if I need to swap any plug wires, and if so, which way.
AND........Do I splice into the BLUE wire and then just leave the connector alone, or do I hack the red and black off?

Thanks for your effort, but I kinda need someone who has stood in these shoes.

The red and black wire are a positive and ground .The reason they ignore them on the CAS is because you already have tied into the positive and ground on the crank sensor.You do have to hook up the blue wire .You can also hook the red wire where you already have the red wire hooked from the crank sensor.It's just not needed.If you just run the 95 ECU,you have to swap the plug wires as RRE states or you can just swap the 2 blue wires on your coil plug.If you have DSM link it will do it for you.When I hook up my 1g CASs,I hook all 3 blacks together,all 3 reds together,yellow wire to the blue and white and the white wire to the other blue wire.Always works.

Thanks. I have been thinking of this question all day, and I figured that a person would just tap into the blue wire on the stock CAS harness and the power and ground are already supplied to the 1G CAS by the 2G Crank sensor Connector.
