90 eprom in 91 tsi awd

Ok so ive looked and seen little about this. Ive seen the 91-94 ecu in 90 cars so im thinking. forgive me if im wrong. i only need to swap the two pins that are different? anyone done this?

Im only asking since my 91 doesnt have an eprom and I have a spare 90 eprom ecu and keydriver chip.
