I was reading up on Eprom ECU's and how to indentify them so i went out, yanked it up.. and found this ! :hellyeah:

I thought it was pretty "rare" if you will to find these in our cars, so im pretty stoked about this !

Would I be able to perhaps give my car a little tune with the right software ? Its not gonna help too much obviously but maybe somethin to give me a little more "umppph" ?

OH MY! Lucky! That looks like a fairly clean board. Since you're just a GS, you don't need that EPROM, I'll trade yah LOL.
 
It's a non turbo EPROM ecu. If you learn how to edit hex you could bump up the timing, and lean it out a little. Not really worth the trouble for the gains.

Do you know that because its in a non turbo car or because of the ECU number ? The car has 3 owners 1 being myself, the initial owner worked for mitsubishi and claimed it was a turbo to the guy I bought it from who gave me a basket of crap inlcuding a 14b..
What would be required to edit hex?
Its staying n/a for a while, its my DD ill probably save up for a gsx.

Yours is missing the little daughter board in the lower left hand side and I think it is impossible/a huge pain in the ass to add it, even if you find a turbo board.

You can run turbo code and modify it for your injectors and MAF sensor. Might be able to get a few extra MPG out of it. It is nice to start tuning with out a turbo, or with a turbo on low boost. Normally if you make a mistake in a NT or on 3-4psi nothing really bad can happen.
 
It's not impossible to add a knock board, I bought my EPROM ecu from keydiver when he was in business and just last summer I sent it to ECMlink for a check up and they said it was a 94 non turbo EPROM converted to turbo, and that it was a good clean swap and that Jeff did a nice job with it.

I know im gonna get the "your not getting much power out of a n/a without some serious bucks" reply, but miles per gallon is really the least of my worries, if it was, I'd be driving a Prius (so dissapointed in Toyota's new approach to cars) Would I be able to tune, with injectors and possible a GM MAF & translator(for straighter flow, plus I dont like the humungo box) just for a little more "umppph" ?

Like I said I know that serious gains on non turbos comes only with serious time and deep pockets, so im not expecting to go haulin' ass. :thumb:
