K guys, i have a 92 with eprom ecu in it. My buddy has burnt me a few chips for with stutterbox,injector compensation,no fuel cut and few others. But we cant seem to get the extended maps to work or the octane value set up....Have gone to the yahoo ecu group and got some of the files but they dont seem to make any sense. Can anyone point us in the rite direction??? We are using tunerpro. Help
 
Yup, that site is pretty good.
What I would do is get ahold of the E931 stock eprom image, and work with that.
It's a 32kb eprom image, and all the tricks described in K.Tarry website work.
Also if you want to get into it and have some assembler experience -you could take a look at the E931 commented source posted on the yahoo group!
You pretty much take a risk when you try something on your own...but hey you learn a lot of stuff!
Let me know if you need the E931 stock eprom bin dump "image".
$10 for a couple blank eprom chips + $30 eprom programmer ..thats $40 :) ...and just an Safac II is $250 or so :) not only you save a lot of money, you can implement more features then the SAFAC can give you...like modify rev limit, idle speed, fuel cut etc etc..
Soon I won't even need DSMlink, I need some good fuel/ign maps.

TunerPro is OK, I preffer Evilscribe rom editor, and the HEXeditor is my main tool!
The scribe' is very easy to use with the e931 bin , for basic fuel, ign, injectors, maf, etc setup.
If you need any eprom bins holla at me.
I got the 90turbo-e743 eprom, 91-92fwd ones, 91-92awd, galant vr-4 and 95 awd.
Does anybody got the 93-94 eprom images??
 
OHH...and you need a Hex editor for sure if you want to do it old skool !
K.Tarry site shows the bites and the code that needs to be modified.
It's not easy to use the search func in the hex editor...so you gotta scroll it down till you get to the bite and the matching code.
Evil scribe makes your life a little easier, but it doesn't support the octane map set/ or Airflow 'cap' so you do have to do that manual. :)
Good to see ppl are trying to 'hack' their ECU, and not just go plug and play for $100s:)
 
thanx for all the good info guys:thumb: ... got it all figured out...these are areas we used.

inj compensation- 680's
5500 stutter box
fuel cut elimination
injector cap removed
octane reset
extended timing/fuel maps
11.2 target A/F ratio (WORKS GREAT)

Thanx again for all the info, Kinda cool messing around with all the stock programing and makin it work...Just gotta dial in all the extended timing and see what happends...thanx:rocks:
