Hey guys,
Just picked up this Auto 91 GSX. 115K on it. I'm very stoked!!

The old transmission leaked terribly, so I took it out today. Now, I've analyzed the automatic transmission which came with the car as an extra. The input shaft goes in & out about 1/8", with no side play. Came out of a perfectly running car that had a timing belt snap.

The old shot transmission has no in & out play whatsoever.

I'm wondering, is this acceptable?

Also, what's the deflection on the timing belt supposed to be? I took a look at the belt and it was at about 1/2", then I turned the motor over and it's at about 1/8". I'm wondering if I hit an odd spot in the stroke.

Thanks,
Sean
