This Guy is selling a 14b and states it has. 015 to .020 of shaft play. Is that bad or can I still run it without a rebuild?

I'm assuming you're talking about up and down shaft play and not in and out shaft play. You can get away with some up and down play, but .015" would be the limit. If you have any in and out play at all it can cause the compressor to hit the cover.

So, long story short, it sounds like the turbo should be rebuilt. I wouldn't recommend running it like that.:notgood:

Assuming its used? If its wet, then ya time for a rebuild. If its been sitting for awhile it will loosen up from the oil running out of the bearings.

Super close to tolerance specs so I would say yes time for a rebuild.
