Well. I have a bad input shaft bearing.

I know for sure it's not the TOB. I've had 2 people who knew what they were talking about check it out.

So this is awesome and all, but how long can I rock my G-ride before I end up jack stand ballin again?

I've heard one opinion from someone, but that's one guy. Do any of you know about how long I can ride with this problem?

I'm granny shifting at 2500rpms, not beating on it at all. Just driving it nice and slow..

Thanks!

My input shaft is bad. I wouldn't say I beat on it, but I drive it like I would any other car. It's been nearly two months so far, but I'm 100% sure the last two previous owners were at least noticing the developing symptoms since the end of '07.

How long you have depends on how loud it currently is, and how quick the noise increase is progressing. If it's a faint but noticeable sound, you have long enough to not worry about. If you granny shift, it'll may last years. Other things may go bad inside the transmission as a side effect of the shaft/bearing play(synchros), but input shaft bearings will usually just let themselves get worse and worse until YOU find it unbearable to drive with the noise, or the effort needed to shift/drive becomes too much.

Ah you again! :p

I opened a new thread to try to get some fresh answers about this.

Well so can I drive it like I normally would? I don't beat on it, but I do have fun with it.

I dunno. I hate dsms at the moment.
