0. Turbo timer

2. 3 Bar Map
3. GM Maf
4. Wideband 02
5. Exhaust Gas temp sensor
6. Fuel Pressure Regulator
7. WalBoro 255 FP
8. 1000cc+ injectors
9. Fmic and piping
10. HKS super seq bov
11. Tial external wastegate
12. Worm style turbo manifold
13. 50trim Borg warner turbo
14. MBC from local shop
15. Ebay turbo intake
16.(optional) Nitrous Spray bar kit for FMIC.

Anything i should add to this setup or change?

"3 Bar Map" or "GM Maf", choose one. Preferably the MAP. #16 is absolutely retarded. Why spray something expensive like nitrous oxide at an intercooler when you can do the same with carbon dioxide for cheaper, and be colder? The only point is still to cool it down after a run. Spraying it with water manually will be the most effective, cheapest, and friendliest on the environment if that kind of trendy thing tickles you. A turbo timer is a waste of money unless you absolutely are lazy and can't sit there letting your car idle for a few minutes. I would rather sit in my car while it's running than let it be without any kind of monitoring of vital stats.

Ah ok guess i hadn't read enough on the Map and Maf part thought you had to have both. But on the note about the Spray bar, the only reason i really see it being useful for me is at the track here where i live 100+ degree days... but if it doesn't make that big of difference then im not gonna waste money on it.

It's just useless waste, a heavy tank, and water can take away more heat. You also don't want the intercooler too cold...

ah i understand and agree, Rather be a couple lbs lighter then have something that doesn't do enough performance wise to out weight the actual weight.

i agree, the only things i would scratch are the turbo timer and "nitrous spray". you could go with snow performance or some other meth/water injection if you really need the cooling/hp gains. i think your fine without it though. looks really solid other than that. did you get forged internals? are you going with some 272's? i would suggest for 420hp from what IVE read, you may need longer duration cams like the 272 or 264, or a combination of both. but my knowledge is limited there.

yes i plan on seeing how long i can go on this setup until i touch the block but 280's are what i plan on adding.

Keep forgeting the few key things i should add haha (Been at work all night), But yes she is Manual and has a upgraded clutch in her. Thinking a cheap ebay exhaust for now though. Have a 3in downpipe on the way.

Fuel pump rewire and a fuel line and better filter are big helps. I feel bad for the pumps pushing 500 whp of fuel through a stock fuel line.

I am very curious because I have a similar goal in mind with a FWD as well, which is the hardest part. My budget is around $4k and am assembling my motor myself. I dont wanna thread jack, just looking to bounce some idea's with someone else with a 1G FWD and similar goals.

Instead of a eBay exhaust just buy a good downpipe and muffler and take it to an exhaust shop and have them do a 3" or which ever you like. Shouldn't cost more then 150 bucks for the piping from them and they can throw the downpipe and muffller on for you and you pull away with a beast sounding car

Time and money go along with a build, don't just say I have 4 k what do I need to make 420. Your goals are engine care, supporting mods, as stated above besides number 16 LOL.

I understand time and money and engine care. I'm building an engine from scratch. I have a stroker crank, a block, and a head. I am purely looking for suggestions of peoples setups to reach an estimated 400-450 crank horsepower on a FWD platform. And when I have the means to make anything I want, whether it be fabricating my own components, or a $4-6k budget is besides the point. I'm looking for opinions and suggestions, not engine care that I can get from the parts counter guy at autozone. To the op, I apologize in any way if you feel I'm trying to hack/sabotage your thread.

Try thinking about going this route.

0. Turbo timer - DITCH THIS YOU DON'T NEED IT
1. Ecmlink
2. 3 Bar Map
3. GM Maf
4. Wideband 02
5. Exhaust Gas temp sensor
6. Fuel Pressure Regulator
7. WalBoro 255 FP - GET THE HP ONE OR REWIRE IT
8. 1000cc+ injectors - ARE YOU STAYING ON PUMP GAS? 1000cc then if going race gas or E85 go bigger
9. Fmic and piping
10. HKS super seq bov - IS OK Tial is better
11. Tial external wastegate
12. Worm style turbo manifold
13. 50trim Borg warner turbo - GET SOMETHING BIGGER if want 420whp
14. MBC from local shop
15. Ebay turbo intake
16.(optional) Nitrous Spray bar kit for FMIC. DITCH THIS YOU DON'T NEED IT
17. Boost gauge

On my other talon with a PTE 62/62 turbo, fwd 5 speed I made 460-480whp on pump gas with 1000cc injectors so this should give you an idea little laggier to help wheel spin sence your a gst too but I would go little bigger then the 50trim it would be easier to get your goal. Just don't think you would be happy with the 50 trim. I prefere t3 setups they flow good.

hes already got a boost gauge... but hard too see in his first post. other than that it all looks good besides the spray bar and 50 trim (for the hp goal). how bout a gt35r or hx35/40?

should be a PITA to keep traction on!:D
