I just baught a 1990 throttle body. I know i should of done more research before the purchase. I know the 91-94 swap is easier. Is there anyway to get this throttle body on the car? RRE has a write up but everyone says not to mess with a 90 throttle body? I dont know if this helps but i am getting dsmlink in less than a month. I dont want to sell it and buy another. Any tips and tricks would be great. I have just uploaded the pictures of the throttle body I have.

Most tuners use the 91-94 for the sole purpose of still being able to keep your emissions (4 plugs).

The '90 has a different ISC motor, which is why most people always recommend getting a '91-'94. The '90 ISC always seems to cause issues, and I have yet to see a proper wiring diagram on how to use one in a non-'90 car.

The '90 has 4 vacuum ports - 2 on top and two on the side.

No, you can't use your 2g TPS (you can in any '91-'94 throttle body). The '90 TPS is different.

Another issue is if you try to rebuild it, you need two different size shaft seals. And you can't easily do an FIAV bypass/block off seeing as the FIAV is one with the throttle body.

The ISC motor helps regulate the idle of the car. If it is broken or missing, the car can idle very poorly.

The '90 model is just a different unit than the rest of the years use. I don't know how it's wired and if it even works the same as the other years. If someone has successfully used one in a later year car, I'm unaware of it.

No, link can not help you fix that.
