Will a 90 Throttle Body work on a 2g?

Will a 90 Throttle Body work on a 2g? I was told it does, but then also told that I can only use a 92-94 throttle body, any info will help

90 throttle bodies are different, no they will not work. In fact many people on ebay pass 90's off as a upgrade to 2G throttle bodies.

91-94 throttle body from turbo models are the ones that match. I'm currently doing this.

Its not that it wont work -- its just not as easy.
It would require you to hack up your wireingharness and wire in the sensors.
91-94T is pretty much plug-n-play

are you refering to the 90 Throttle body or the 92 N/T Throttle body?

I think that you can use the 1g N/T throttle body, but them you don't use the throttle body elbow anymore.

because the n/t throttle body doesn't have the throttle body elbow, you can replace it with whatever you want to use...

Can anyone confirm that the 90 throttle body can be replaced with a 91-94 throttle body?

I have the wiring harness from the 91-94 so rewiring the TPS plug isn't an issue, but are there any other issues? (IE: TPS operates differently etc)

90 can be replaced by 91-94. Like you mention there are some small wiring differences with the harnesses.

If you are putting the 91-94 TB in a 90 car you will also need to change the fuel rail or modify it. The inlet flange is at a different angle and interferes with the TPS.

The 90 TPS wont match a 91-94 throttle body. Make sure you get at least a tps to match the 91-94 throttle body.

Incorrect. It will NOT work because you have to re-use your old 2g TPS. The 1g TPS has 3 wires and 2g TPS has 4 wires. The 90 has an entirely different TPS than any other year DSM. The throttle shaft and throttle body casing is totally different on the 90 making it impossible to bolt a 2g TPS onto a 90 throttle body.

We've been there on my car, tried that, and gave up on it and moved on to a 91-94 tb.

Would be nice if the Evo 8 TB was plug-n-play. Unfortunately the idle can be erratic, to say the least.
