I'd post this as a build blog, but I can't figure out how.

Pics will come as soon as I find the cable for my camera. (I just moved)

So I bought a '90 GSX 5-speed back in March as a project for a drag strip car. The car came with no interior other than a dash and some seats which is perfectly alright with me, plus it saves me a lot of work. The paint on the car is rough but no real problem. A while ago I made a thread about the crappy results of my compression test, I pulled the head and found I had some burnt up valves. Since then I've slowly been working on the car with the little spare time I have but I've made some decent progress in the last few days. Here are some details about the car:

Black '90 GSX 5-speed

-No interior other than dash, driver and passenger seats.
-Stock clutch that is slipping
-Stock motor with 180k
-T04e 57 trim turbo
-Aftermarket O2 sensor housing
-Apexi 3 inch downpipe that deletes the cat
-Apexi N-1 3 inch exhaust
-T3 tubular exhaust manifold
-38mm wastegate with atmosphere dump tube
-Enkei PKR 16x7 rims with new 205-55-16 tires (don't remember the brand)
-660 Denso injectors
-Walbro 255lph fuel pump
-DSMlink 2.5
-Tuned for E-85

As I stated above I pulled the head and began ordering parts. This is what I've received so far:

-Crower (not BC) Valve springs and Ti retainers
-New stock valves
-1000cc injectors

Not much but it's a start.

Soon to be ordered:

-ACT 2900 clutch with a 4-puck unsprung disc
-Crower (not BC) cams either 272s or 280s
-Battery relocation kit to move the battery to the rear along with everything to make the techs at the track happy
-A lot of other misc crap I will need to replace

When I first got the car it also had a cracked valve cover, I purchased one that wasn't cracked from a local forum member. Due to the cracked valve cover the engine bay is a friggin' mess! I've also been pulling parts off slowly but srely as well beginning with the A/C system, Intake and exhaust manifolds, crusie control, battery tray and battery, stock SMIC, front bumper cover,

Today I took off the alternator because it is EXTREMELY dirty, the drive belts, timing belt, pulleys and the lower timing belt cover. While looking at the cylinders I noticed that that you could see the cross-hatch on the walls so I think it may have been rebuilt not too long ago. The timing belt, tensioner and all associated pulleys are virtually new as well. I also discovered that the car still has the Balance Shafts and that the Balance Shaft belt is also relatively new. Due to the fact the engine bay is so dirty and I still have the balance shafts I'm gonna be pulling the whole thing here soon to "try" and clean everything up, because it's nasty in there. I'm also going to be using race gas in the car as opposed to E-85 as the car will rarely be driven on the street.

Stay tuned for updates!
