90 gsx converted to 92 rebuild

im looking into a 1990 gsx with a 92 front end conversion with a tsi talon rear the car is a shell come swith everything except motor and exhasut but the cra comes with some motor i nternals and turbo of the 4g63t 6bolt that came with the car. brand new suspension on the it needs a paint job is it worth buying and getting a 4g63 from the junkyard and rebuilding it or just looking for an already running gsx

Good luck finding a 4g63 at the junkyard. In my opinion, if it doesnt come with a motor it's not worth the trouble. These motors aren't like honda's where you can pick another motor up for cheap.

Ummmm? 6 bolts from junkyards from a 89to 92.5 around Montreal. Are around 600$-1300 from the junkyards I've called just in case .

Do you have pics of the car? And why did the guy decide to pull the motor?

I would only buy it if it was being sold for next to nothing. A lot of work and monet to get it on the road. Also I think the 1ga front end is a lot better than the 1gb. Just my 2 cents.

Ya but thats an extra $600-$1300 he could be putting into a dsm that runs. Is this a rolling chassis. You still need to get a transmission as well

the car comes with tranny and transfer case everything on the car is in good shape the motor was blown and that is y it was pulled he is asking 500it comes with a bnhc of parts a turbo motor internals has the lsd all ready to go just need to out tranny in and get motor and exhaust

Sounds like more of a project than its worth

just rebuild the old motor? either way 500 isn't bad. if you're up for doing an engine rebuild I'd say go for it, if the interior is clean and everything else about the car works.
