Greetings:
Just got my engine back from the machine shop. If im looking at the engine as it would sit, installed. There is a bung on the front side, close to where the transmission mates to the block. Under the exhaust manifold, and to the left. My new turbo wont use coolant lines, so what plumbs into this bung.

I have no installed the water pipe that connects to the water-pump, and thermo-block yet, and would really like to know if I could just plug this bung/fitting off, or if it's necessary. Thank You.
 
I'm pretty sure you're talking about the coolant feed for the stock turbo. If the banjo and hard line are still there, you can just connect a hose to the line coming off the top of the waterpipe, or, if your compressor housing is too big and hits the factory banjo bolt, you can plug it up with an oil drain plug (they're the same size), which is what I had to do for my hx40.

thanks, yeah I worked on it for a few hours tonight, and im going to put a Teflon coated oil drain plug in it.

If I no longer need the coolant lines running to the turbo, how would YOU route the lines to the oil cooler??? Right now, I see the coolant flowing from the water pump, through the long coolant pipe. Im still running my lines to the heater core, but what would your thought's be? I _believe_ there's a nipple or 2 on the coolant pipe, I just don't want lines all over the place, trying to tidy-up the bay a bit. Thanks in advance! :)

Since you're using the oil drain plug, you'll need to block off the line coming from the top of the water pipe. Use a small peice of hose and stuff a bolt in it with a hose clamp:

As far as the other coolant lines, just run them in their factory configuration:

Knowing how to program assembly language, and interpreting some of the users on my Bulletin boards, sort of help! :) Cool Handle though.

How does that HX40 pull?? stock short block?? stock compression??
just wondering. I didn't got that route, but a td06dl220g replaced my forced performance 68HTA, now I need to find a set of injectors. :hmm: I'm currently running a set of PTE 680's, and am planning on getting a set of PTE 1000's.
fully built bottom end, and top end.

Oh!! your exhaust manifold is BOSS!!
