ok so i know how much work it is to swap a 6 bolt into a 2g dsm but what about if you put in a 6 bolt into a 1g car? aka late 92 to 94 dsms...

i hear its just the fly wheel that i have to change since its alll the same crap,

and before i get the whole " you should know this already crap"
i just never came across the 1g 6 bolt swap before only in the 2gs

Well the oil pan is different too. I also believe the front cover and oil pump are different. I am in the process of doing this swap.

its a full, motor swap, so i need no worry about oil pans, water pumps, oil pumps anything that is attatched to the motor once it gets pulled i have.

but i mean like sensors, hoses, stuff like that besides the flywheel anything else that needs to be changed?

Side motor mount is different and your gonna have to rig up a 1g cam sensor to fit and invert the fuel injector wires and spark plug wires.

Just found this for you Google is your friend :thumb: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-engine-fuel/152329-how-do-6-bolt-swap-what-you-need.html use commonsense when you read this guide not everything HAS to be done the way he explains it.

That's all for putting a 6-bolt into a 2g. Did you read his original post?

He's putting a 6-bolt into an originally 1g 7-bolted car '92.5-'94 year.

Really the only differences assuming you have the full 6-bolt that will be going in is the flywheel like you said. Just be aware of the subtle differences that were made from 1g 6-bolt to 1g-7bolt like the oil pan, timing belt tensioners, and front cover. The motor mounts are the same as well as everything else. Just remember when you order parts for the bottom end to order them for a 6-bolt.

Good luck! It should be pretty straight forward.

the swap is going into a 1g car people not into a 2g

reason for this is i have a built 2.4 stroker rather than a stock 94 7 bolt motor i know the fuel lines and cas and intercooler and everything else in a 2g has to be changed but what
about the 1g 7 bolt...

dont mean to sound rude i thank you guys for the help but i keep getting the 2g swap info and i know how to do all that pretty easy but the 6 bolt is staying into a 1g car

thank you very much for reading the full thread ->PrOjEcTGS<-

but yes its a fully built 2.4 stroker that is 100% done just it was going into another car wich i sold along the way and now buying a 94 rather than my april 92 6 bolt car

Some more info I found:
1G 7-bolt uses a:

6-bolt waterpump
7-bolt oil pump
6-bolt cylinder head
7-bolt oil pan
7-bolt crank
7-bolt rods
7-bolt pistons with 1G-like 7.8:1 compression.

...it can get a little confusing, but those are the main points.

Opps I didn't read all of his question just though it was another one the people asking how to put a 6bolt in a 2g LOL guess I need to pay more attention.
