Looking to machine out a 12^cm hx35 turbine housing to accept a 12 blade hx40 turbine wheel and then used the 60mm hx40 compressor. My question is will the 12^cm T3 from a hx35 with the hx40 12 blade turbine wheel max out a 60mm hx40 compressor? Anyone tried this? Looking for input.

You can't machine a HX35 turbine housing to fit a HX40 turbine or you'll grind away nearly all of the critical area of the twin-scroll dividers cast into the housing around the radius of the wheel's inducer. Even if you could, the housing itself would end up being wafer-thin in the process...so look for it to crack almost immediately.

The only way you can make this work is by switching to a HX35 turbine wheel as well.
