OK whats going on guys haven't been here in a little while. I just have a quick question, Ive heard of people using the 4g63 n/t motor and was wondering if ne1 here can give me a lil info on what u need to change besides the obvious things. Like pistons etc, if u can help me out that would be col cuz i have a n/t motor and would like to turn it turbo? any advice? thanks and 1 more thing has ne1 converted a 2g talon to an eclipse front and rear if so please pm me i need some info thanks again!!

The non-turbo motor does not have any oil squirters but thats the only difference when using it for a build up. If it were me I would port out the oil relief valve on the oil filter housing so the hole is oval to allow pressure to bleed of earlier to keep oil pressure from being so high.

If you pull off the oil filter housing there is a big nut on the back side, 22mm. Inside there is a long spring and a piston. The piston covers the hole. When oil pressure build inside the housing it pushes down on the piston un covering a hole for the oil to escape (kinda like a port on a two stroke motor kinda idea). If you move that hole forward so it's uncovered earlier that will help solve some of the high oil presusre problems you may run into with the N/T motor.

Can anybody chip in here and answer if there is a high oil pressure problem with the N/T because of no squirters?

Regardless I did it on my motor even with the squirters because I pulled the BS shafts and I wanted to keep pressure under control. It a bit of an older and less known mod on our cars. Maybe I can throw up a pic if you want.

thanks Jim i new bout he squirter's last night i was looking around also nice write up on the 2g swap i rear all 15 pages LOL. cuz i have a few motors i want to turbo and put a few up for sale and also put them in my cars. Thanks for the advice

I have a 6 bolt n/t going through a machine shop as of now i eliminated the balance shafts and didn't even install the oil squirters. reason for that is they are only used to cool off the stock rods and pistons and i went with steel rods and forged pistons which when hot wont expand as much as the stock so oil squirters will help but aren't really needed. with n/t think honda.......going turbo, just have to get the electrical right
