6 bolt swap ?

I can't get my 7 bolt power steering bracket on. Not what the actual pump bolts to but what that bracket that bolts to the block. Do I need the six bolt braket

You really shouldn't have any problems doing this. The only difference in bolting the 2G bracket up to your 6-bolt block is that it will use 3 of the 4 bolt holes instead of using all 4 like the 1G bracket.

What isn't fitting or what is keeping the bracket from bolting up?

As already mentioned, the bolt hole count is going to be off. I went through nearly the same thing, save for using 1 less bolt and tightening it accordingly. You shouldn't have any other major issues with getting that bracket to mount.

Think about it... one less bolt means you're saving weight = running faster!

I took off the water pipe and it fit like a glove
