Rickshaw,
I have done my 6 bolt conversion. Everything went in fine and dandy. But there is a concern of mine of the 1g lower rad hose.

The heavy big piece of weight on the transmission is hitting the lower rad hose everytime i shift into 2nd and 4th. Its causing a cushion effect on my shifter handle. Also the movement of the weight is wearing my rad hose down. I have searched and haven't seen anyone with this problem with a 6 bolt swap.

Is there a way to rectify this problem other than getting a really long hose and go on top of the intake pipe? Or have i put the hose the wrong way. Can someone please post pics of their lower radiator hose from the 6 bolt swap please. THanks.

It looks like cutting the weight is the best route to take....I had to do it also.
Mine was cut with a cutoff wheel btw. That weight is pretty thick.

and you guys do not have any troubles at all shifting? because the shifter assebly can move up and down with the weight. i don't want to do that to my brand new shep stage three tranny.

Well, when i took the tranny off the box, the weight already broke off :( had to remove it from my old one.

Anyone have more insight to this?

I'm unsure of what you're saying in the first sentence bud, but I have no issues shifting at all.
You're not removing the entire weight assembly. You're cutting off just the weight and leaving a stub. It doesn't affect or hasn't affected shifting.

Don't move the bracket around, that will only serve to make shifting harder because you will be limiting shifter cable movement.
There's also not enough down there to zip tie the hose to, not to mention you could possibly put a kink in that hose...overall bad idea.

This is all I did to mine..
