and can i use my 1g tranny in the 2g when i do the swap?

The short answer is no. 2g's use 3 mounts on the tranny and 1 on the motor while 1g's use 3 on the motor and 1 on the tranny.

thank you. cause i thought it just had to do with the motor and such. so how does the motor bolt up in a 2g when you do the 6 bolt swap if theres only one mount? the same way a normal 7 bolt with 3 on the trany and one on the motor?

Correct. You have to notch the 2G mount to clear the 6 bolt waterpump. All of these questions are very basic and have been answered before. Check out www.roadraceengineering.com and www.magnusmotorsports.com they both have excellend write up on the subject and is where I got the information to do my swap. :thumb:
