6 bolt swap in 93 gsx.

im currently in the process of swapping my 6 bolt motor from my junk tsi to my 93 gsx, i have the harness in and basically all set up for the motor, just got one question, one of the plugs on the 6 bolt harness is smaller than the one on the gsx. inside the vehicle on the pass side one white connector, the tsi didnt have abs but my gsx does is that possibly related to the abs, maybe to the control unit for it, not sure, this is my first time doing a 6 bolt swap. any insite is apperciated. can take a pic if needed.

i will be able to tak e a pic once i get home, i want to say the connector on the engine harness side is 8 pin i believe and the body side,i belive is along a 12 pin or 16 pin. ill get a pic to help you out alittle more

here is the connector i am talking about . not sure if it is the abs and body harness connector. if so will i be able to swap the body side connector.

I forgot i just got that done when i used a 90 harness in a 92 body i had to get the 92 to 94 harness from the salvage yard to make it all work.

Yes i found that out when i got 90 harness and swapped into my 92, had to get another 92 harness.

hhhmm but im not really intending on using the abs can i cut the female connector out of my 90 talon parts car, and wire it into that connectors spot.

Im not sure what that plug is i forgot are you sure thats for the abs. Looks like it goes to the door harness if i remember its been a while since i did that.

im not to sure there is about 5 or 6 connectors in that corner.

Why did you switch harnesses?

Get a connector that matches the body harness, swap the wires/pins to the new connector that matches the body harness, plug into the body harness.

I asked the same question? Why did you switch? There was no reason to. 1g longblock is a complete bolt in for any 1g no matter what year. Just use appropriate year sensors. As far as just the longblock goes, no accessories there is no bolt in difference. We're talking about just the motor too. Transmissions fwd/awd there are a few differences that might cause issues, but not the motor by itself.

i didnt switch harness's the kid i bought it off of didnt have the harness when i purchased it . it was stripped of everything, no interior at all. so i fiqured that i could use what i had in my parts car

ok another question my 93 has the factory harness, again i was never giving the factory engine harness, and had no interior in it. on my 90 tsi, there is a relay on the bottom of the ground box below the radio. i not sure where these three plugs go or if can use stuff off the 90 tsi to make it work.
