Simple and total newb question....

I have already ordered my ENTIRE 6 bolt engine with Manley internals. Now for the question... When I am searching for which parts to use for the mods, which ones do I look for? The 1g or 2g? Which upgrade path from this site should I be using now that I am going to be using the 6 Bolt. The paths are basically the same but I dont want to be ordering the wrong parts. I have already researched the parts for both engines and now its just a matter of putting them on order. Also, this means that I will NOT be taking anything internal off my 2g(pistons rods cams etc). I have looked all day and have come up with the parts I can use which are:

2g MAF
2g Throttle Body Elbow
2g exhaust Manifold(not sure if I am going to use this or buy an upgrade)
2g o2 Housing

Thanks in advance for the help.

Stuck in the middle east for a little while longer,

If you have a full 6 bolt swap (head and block), then anything that bolts to the engine will need to be for a 1g 6 bolt. This includes the CAS, flywheel, intake/exhaust manifolds, and all the stuff for a normal 6 bolt swap (can be found in Magnus Motorsports' 1gina2g document). Everything else will be for a 2g, including some engine stuff in that document. You can usually find this out by searching. Or if you're really clueless, call up one of the vendors, tell them you're looking to upgrade a part and that you have a 6 bolt swap, and are unsure as to which part to get.

It would depend on what part your buying. The parts you listed are just parts that are better than the 1g counter part thus that is why they advise yo to use it. But say you need a water pump, then you would need a 1g water pump because you are using a 1g motor. Basically almost anything is the same accept for the timing components, water pump, oil pan I believe, and little things here and there.

Your main thing you have to worry about is gaskets. Certain things like head gaskets and I think valve cover gaskets I'll have to double check on that.

Both 1G and 2G exhaust manifolds will work, but the 2G manifold is more desirable.

OP, remember that most 1G's used a 7 bolt motor. Instead of thinking along the lines of 1G vs 2G, you will usually be safe (when a 6 bolt part is needed) if you specify that you are looking for a part for a 1991 motor.

Also remember that in cases where sensors are different between 1G/2G (eg-TPS), you will typically need the 2G part since these communicate with your 2G ECU.

Thanks for the help guys appreciate it. I looked up the Magnus version of the swap and also the RRE version...biggest diefference between the two is the Cam Angle Sensor(CAS) and how they hook it up. Think I am going to go with the harness that magnus has.

Another noob question...

If I go with the 190lph fuel pump what size injectors should I be using?
If I were to go with the 255lph what size and what should I use for fuel management?

The choice of a fuel pump and injectors will be based on how much boost you want to run, what your goals are, what your budget is, and what tuning device you plan on using. Obviously the more boost you want to run, the more fuel is needed. If your goals are in the 300-400hp range, you should be able to get a 190lph and be fine. But if you ever plan on going bigger, I would get a 255lph and be done with it. Now, if you decide to get the 255lph, you will need an AFPR (adjustable fuel pressure regulator). This is because this pump will overrun the stock FPR. It is possible to run without one, but is not a smart idea. Search if you want more info on this. If you'd go with the 255lph, it'll obviously cost you more because you'll have to get the AFPR and other items to install it. If you plan on running an S-AFC, you will be limited to 660cc or smaller injectors. If you plan on running DSMlink, a Keydiver chip, or a stand alone EMS, then you can run whatever injectors you desire. And for more info about all of these systems, do a search and you'll find plenty of info.

Here are a few links that'll give you an idea of what injectors/pump to use for what boost/air flow levels:
