Ok so i just dropped in my rebuilt 6 bolt with the balance shafts removed. I know my oil pressure would spike but i also got a nice constant leak from the ofh and my stock oil gauge is about 3/4 from a cold start. I am gonna check to make sure everything is tight tomorrow. let me know what u guys think.

Port the oil relief valve hole, there are threads on here for that. Porting it out allows less travel for the plunger to bypass oil back to the pan which lowers the oil pressure. Where is it leaking from exactly? Did you torque it down properly and use new gaskets?

well it is leaking from the back side of the ofh towards the crank pulley. I used new gaskets but I didn't torque it to any specific specs just wrench tight. Just wondering do I have to pull the timing cover and belts to get the ofh off?

You don't have to pull the belt to remove the oil filter housing. Just remove the 4 bolts that hold it in place. Be sure to use copper spray on the gasket and clean both surfaces very well. As stated port the oil relief valve to help with the high oil pressure problem. Here is a thread showing which hole to port.

And some info. on the results.

Also are you sure it's the gasket and not the little orange o-ring between the housing and cooler?

It's not too hard to port it out as long as you have a dremel and a torque wrench. I killed a housing after I ported it out because I overtightened the bolt that holds the assembly togther. It only needs tightened to 33 ft LBS otherwise you'll crack the housing and need to start over.

Just take your time on it and once you start to take material away, clean it and see how much more you need to grind away.

I am running a 90 style air cooler. what is this little orange o-ring u speak of? I didn't see anything like that when I pulled it today. However it still leaks after I changed the gasket and tighten everything up. My oil pressure went from 3/4 high on my stock gauge to around 1/3 at idle after warm up.

Are you sure that is where it's leaking from and not the front case?
