Hello guys,

I'm just wondering where 50 trim owners are hitting full boost at? My car seems to be spooling too soon compared to what I've seen.

I have a journal bearing Garret TO4E 50 trim with bolt on BEP housing ( .55a/r I believe). The back wheel is a stage III T31 Garret wheel. I have a bone stock 7 bolt and it's externally gated with a HAFE cast manifold and TiAl 38mm with .9 bar spring.

I hit 20 psi by about 3100-3200 RPM's in 3rd gear starting from 2500. Is this normal, or too soon? I mean I love it, but it's just weird, looking for feedback from you guys.

The wheels are Garret, stage III back wheel, full Garret unit. Sorry I forgot to specify that. The back housing Is a .55a/r I believe,

Later today I'll see if I can get a video of it so you guys can see it.

At WOT with my 272 Kelfords, and Bullseye 50-trim I see full boost (25 psi) at 3,600-3,800 rpm depending where the rpms are when i give it the beans (usually 2,500-2,800 during tuning).

Dear lord that's fast. I have a sort of 50-trim, the fp3150 from Forced Performance, which uses their 7cm custom mitsu-style housing and a garret ball bearing center cartridge. Boost is at ~22psi, and when the car was running (down right now) I believe I didn't see full boost until ~3800rpm. This was on a stock 2.0l with 264/272 hks cams, with the same wastegate, using an EVC 5 boost controller. I have 2.5" i/c piping with an ugly 180 deg bend out of the ic, and a pretty large Apex-i GTR ic with its bottom row crimped, and I imagine those don't help my situation. I'm very jealous of your boost response!

Fortunately things will change soon as I replace the i/c and install a 2.3l stroker in the next couple weeks.

That is quick spool time I run the same turbo just internally gated. And I don't start building boost till around 3500. Full boost 26psi at 4k or a little later ill have to check my logs.

Yeah guys, I'm seriously impressed, I don't even have cams on yet, they are sitting in my room.

I'll get a video later for sure.

Spooling much better than with the old P-Trim turbine, I see. LOL

Bro, yes. The powerband on the DSM link looks amazing!

Uploading the video now, but here is a pic of just after it hit full boost at around 3300RPM. It was slightly slower than I mentioned above, but still amazing!
