My motor is at about the end of its life, its got over 160k on it, popped the headgasket on it two weeks ago(dumb mistake, through a unrealized pinhole leak and 40 miles of highway driving)
I ordered a set of 280 cams, cometic headgasket, arp studs, 1mm over valves, BC springs, and upgraded lifters, and am going to build another head for it.
I also have a 6 bolt sitting around with only 85 k on it. I was going to re-ring it, new bearings, and possibly higher comp pistons, but the idea of a stroker is floating around in the back of my head. Not going into specifics about how to build, as am looking for some turbo upgrade info.
I currently run a 50 trim, and feel that if i go to a stroker i will outflow it,( i actually think the 280 cams will outflow it) and not hit the motors full potential. I would like to upgrade to a larger turbo, but am unsure as to which direction to go. I run the latest gen SBR manifold with no cracks(knock on wood), and a punishment racing 3" downpipe, i would rather not see these go to waste, plus the durability of having a cast manifold is a big plus for me.
Anyone have any insight as to what mitsu flange turbo can support this kind of flow, or if one even exists.
Any other suggestions or options would be appriciated.
