My brother just picked up a DOHC 64 out of a 94 galant. Were deciding where to run the turbo oil feed from. The stock spot on the head just has an allen plug in it so thats a possibility, but the oil filter housing also has 2 similar plugs in it. Are those for the water lines for the stock oil cooler the turbo 63s came with or are they oil feed spots?

The 91+ turbos had a crappy sandwich style coolant cooled oil cooler that the oil filter attached to, and it had it's own water line connections. The 90 turbos had an external air to fluid heat exchanger that was only fed engine oil. There are no connections actually on the filter housing itself for coolant, the plugs you see are to seal oil passages.

they are all oil feed spots. just one if filtered and the other one isnt. there are no water linse in that housing

Awesome, thanks guys. Happen to know which is filtered and which isn't? One is recessed in and closer to the filter and the other is further down and sticks out almost.

the outer one is for the feed line. youll have to remove the oil pressure sensor to install the fitting for the oil feed line and then reinstall the sensor

This is a pic of the housing. Your saying the one that looks like it sticks out more is filtered? And why would we have to remove that sensor, it doesnt look like its in the way at all. I can't be positive though i havent seen it in person. He's back in my hometown in WI and I'm all the way down in FL so i have no idea how far apart the sensor and plug really are.

well if you have any of the vendors oil feed line then theres supposed to be a 90 deg fitting that starts off the oil filter housing. in order to bolt it into the oil filter housing you may have to remove the oil pressure sender. I had to do it. heres a reference picture

dont pay attention to the arow
