4g63t swap a 1990 ford fiesta?

I'm new to this site ,but I've caught the DSM fever. I'm pretty curious on how a 4g63t would be in a 1990 ford fiesta would it be street sleeper worthy ? how much fabrication be involved ? & lastly would I get laughed out of a car meet by those with "true" DSM's ?

It would be an interesting swap but the fabrication and money required to fully build one is going to be ridiculous. Anything can be done with alot of money, but it's something you will never get full value for if you sell it. As for being made fun of, everybody gets shit for something. If you enjoy it, do it. It doesn't matter what others think of the ride. I personally wouldn't try it. It will require alot of skill to make everything work just perfect.

Thanks for not chewing my head off Yes I agree , it would be dumb expensive . but I've got like 4 of them at the farm rotting away day by day . plus they are super light it would be the perfect sleeper ,they only downfall I think would be to keep traction . with a 280-350 HP motor it would be pretty fast

Yeah I've seen that on his show it's the shogun right? the Taurus sho engine at the time ,just a few was converted by the guys who done it

Yeah ive been looking for a decent cheap geo metro for a while. I would stick the entire fwd dsm subframe in the back of the geo. it wouldnt cost anything. Why do people think engine swaps are expensive? It costs a bit of welding gas and wire, some zip cut blades, pocket change really
