hey guys ive been trying to find this answer for a couple days now im buy a 2g talon tsi fwd from a buddy that i work with for 800 the only thing wrong is it has really bad strut tower rust so i was planning on swapping the motor and trans into my 1g fwd, i know it will work and all but the main thing is will the ecu plug in play from the 95 talon into my 92 plymouth or will i need to find a 1g turbo ecu?

Obvious? I dont see anything about him saying a 6-bolt is not an option. Maybe he doesnt know the difference between the 2.

I say that because he said that he has a 2g available with the majority of what he needs. Now if he could possibly grab a 6 bolt, then of course go that route.. I guess either way he would be spending the same amount.

you will need ECU, Engine Wiring Harness, all the parts that are needed to make it run for that year.. CAS, Coil pack, Transistor, Throttle body with all sensor, mpi relay, inj. resonator box, and im more than sure the motor mounts are different!

IF you have everything thing you need in the shell you have, you will just need to take EVERYTHING listed above and make sure its swapped over with the engine!

Pull the motor from the 2g along with the wiring harness and ecu, the MPI relay, the injector resonator box and put them on the 1g! I should work, i see no reason why it would, i works the other way around with a 6bolt into a 2g, ive just never seen it happen!

In my opinion i wouldn't do it, i would sell or part out the one you have, if you can't repair it, then buy a 6 bolt!

Thats also, another reason I said that. After he pulls the motor, he stuck with a shell. He could also get a good 6-bolt for probably less than $800.

I say this as well, find a 4g63T engine and replace your N/T engine with it then sell the N/T for a nice price to makeup for the change. You will need the ECU with the engine as well.
