4g63t dohc vr4 rocker cover breather

how are we all? quick question, rocker cover breather has a custom hose going to a custom catch can. This has never leaked since the engine conversion 5 years ago from the galant into the van, its now leaking from the nipple (where the hose connects to the nipple) on the cover, and its REALLY leaking, overnight theres a puddle of oil under van. could this be a sign of worn piston rings? van still runs perfectly fine, has compression, although im doing a comp test this weekend. could there be another problem? without checking anything just yet on the engine, I was hoping to have a few pointers from you guys on DSMTUNERS.

Check and see if the catch can is full of oil. If so empty it and see if problem goes away. Do you have the pcv valve in place still?

im guessing i have to unbolt the catch can, and take the little breather/vent thing off it and empty it from there? as theres no other way of getting into the catchcan?

Sometimes they have a drain on the bottom. Hard to say without seeing it. Other than that some you have to take out all the way to drain properly.

yea ok cool, i will defnately be checking that next. i have it booked in for dyno and tune this week, but the amount of oil coming out is rediculous, might put dyno on hold and get the leak sorted first! someone mentioned worn piston rings buuuut if i was losing compression, im sure i would realise?

I would start with the catch can. Then if it's empty, Check pcv system is working properly. If that's all ok do a compression and leakdown test see where it's at.
