Okay I am really scared. . I dont knwo why but my check engine light came on after driving form San Antoino to Austin then I figued I will get it looked at when i get back to SA HA so I thought. .well I stop at a gas station and I give her 3/4 of the good stuff then she wont turn over completely. Okay I Know for sure its not the starter b/c it would turn over then just shut off. IT is kind of acting like it would if the BOV was vented. .you know how your RPM just bounce and dont stay the same. . .I dont know what it could be BUT i did note this on the top of the spark pulgs where the wire leads out I noted some oil. . ??? bUT I still havent a clue! could it be a gasket? anything helps thanks alot. . .

1G or 2G?
Pull the ECU codes and fix that problem first.
If that doesn't cure it, compression check, intake leak test, leakdown test.

2G. . . .I found out its the cam shaft sencer. Does that cost alot to fix? I order the part from Autozone and it will be here sunday. . .WEll i was thinking if all it is a sencer does that mean maybe I could fix it? but I dont even know where this is located? can anyone give me a heads up?

2g's have a crank and cam sensor. 2G's CAS' are somewhere by the cam sprockets.
No, the 2g 4g63 cam angle sensor is at the end of the intake camshaft at the opposite end from the spocket (on the outside rear). And yes you should be able to do it yourself (watch how the old one comes out). The crank angle sensor (if he's interested but didn't ask about) is inside the lower TB cover next to the crankshaft sprocket. (Note: I think Jebus may be thinking about the 91 GSX which supposedly has the CAS by the intake cam sprocket).

No and Yes. The CAS on a 95-96 car is actually fucntioned by the intake cam gear instelf. The principle is the same as the 2g Crank angle sensor is. The 97-99 (as Luv2 has) cars use a 1g style CAS that is bolted to the head on the left side, which is hooked to the intake camshaft directly. Unlike a 1g CAS, it sends only a cam angle signal to the ecu, whereas the 1g will send both crank and cam signals, which is why 1g in a 2g swaps work. No 1g's had a CAS that worked off of the intake cam gear. The proper way to install this, would be to line up the notch that on the spinny thing, will only be on one side of the two, with the notch in the housing itself. then install it that way, with it in the midrange of adjustment via the 2 bolts. After that, you must set the base timing. If you have a 95-96, you I forget how it is setup on mine, as I use a 1g CAS now but its just a small black block thing with three wires coming out of it. It will bolt to the head itself behind the intake cam gear. However I can't remember if this requires taking off the gear or not, which will open up whole can of worms. Good luck!

YES YES YES!!!! thank you guys soooo much! aw you dont know how happy this makes me!!! So basicly its just pop in and out kinda thing?

Yeah, pretty much,j just make sure you have the two notches lined up, and have the number 1 cylinder at TDC, then pop it in, with it in mid range of adjustment refering to the two bolts that hold it on, and set base timing, that you will need to do.

what year car do you bave by the way? because if its not a 97-99, this won't make sense.

okay iam checking mine as i have the same problem with it.. theres two connectors on the drivers side one that connects to the cam angle sensor and one to another switch with the wiring harness well i think might have those mixed up as they look and plug into another which looks the same.. i dont know if that came out right but ill check it out.
