Logfile attached below, and also full info on my vehicle on my page. Any help or insight would be awesome.

I have a project I just completed with a fair bit of basic modifications, nothing too crazy. I posted most the basic mods that may effect running at the bottom the post and I got running for first time. It was hooked up to speed density for first start and also is set correctly in ECU all the speed density settings, VE table was left untouched and stock numerical values though.

I am somewhat newer to DSM's, so I was wondering about its current running log looks to a more experienced crew. It will fire up but instant die unless giving it some throttle. I attached my log file of its first start up below. It's running without a wideband, just narrowband afr estimates off the front o2.

It seems to be mixing very rich and if let off the throttle it chokes from air loss and stumbles from what it looks like on the logfile. Just looking for some insight. It seems to be running rich and not uptaking enough air, or just too much fuel choking it out?

I was wondering how to get it to idle on speed density to start to dial it in idle wise, if someone had similar issue. I've read other similar posts and they had worse looking logfiles. I believe on the stock MAF it would likely idle so the stock supplied VE table must not be good for a larger than stock setup like i have to even idle.

The car has EGR delete, FIAV delete, purge valve delete, 1g throttle body (wider then 2g), Walbro 255hp pump, 8an line to a larger Fuel Lab filter, 6an line to Fuel Injector Clinic fuel rail to AFPR, FIC 1000cc high Z injectors, Fuel Lab AFPR, fuel system is dialed in for injector sizing numerical values in the ECU, and FP pressure set at 42.5psi. No stock MAF, GM IAT and 4 bar MAP. larger mystery AR 70 16g style turbo. I've seen a similar post and he also had a very rich mix on 1000cc injectors and first start speed density would not idle either.

I'm hooking the wideband up and hoping to get it to a smooth idle.

Just looked at your picture noticed you dont have your idle switch connected that will make the car idle pig rich as well. You can “simulate” it through link. Also you dont have those vaccum ports plugged on throttle body.
he’s running a 2g tps which has the ips built into the tps. The idle switch you see is just a throttle stop to him.

The vacuum ports though would be an issue I believe as I would cap them if that’s current.

Yeah its a older picture i should've almost got a updated to post. I capped off every vacuum line I'm not using. I do believe with my FIAV delete and ISC delete though that also will make it from i read last night really rough idle and stalling on cold starts. I may even revert back to the 2g throttle body for now and see if it helps..
I'm thinking i need to lean the car up a bit too though on the ve table and play with some settings, maybe I'm running to rich to even stay running.. o have 1000cc FIC high z injectors. Dead time is 330 and global fuel is set at -55.5 as it show to do on ECMTuning website but is high z supposed to have differing values the low z? I wonder..

Is it on e85? Have you tried messing with global fueling?
Its not on e85 also. Its just 92 octane.

Another idea i thought of is maybe using there's a 16g logfile that comes with ECMLink and has a speed density 16g logfile i can use also instead of current stock.. that may help have better values somewhat.

I was going to use the evo 8 fueling and timing maps also but whenever go to download them on ECMTuning's site the links when click them just wont activate any download which is od..

In my opinion, the log is useless without a wideband if you're talking about speed density. You can't tune the car without it and should not proceed to do anything until it's installed. Get the wideband wired in and then grab a new log.

You should also utilize the lock factory sensors feature on the ECU Inputs tab as you wire in aftermarket sensors to keep the ECU from trying to get stock sensor info from that input.

Low and high impedance injectors will still use the same values in the fuel calculators.

I’ll second that, log is pretty much useless without the wideband, get that right and go from there.

And to enlighten you on your “AR 70” mystery 16g, if it says that on the turbine housing then it’s just a cheapo Chinese knockoff 16g. Nothing about that turbine housing has an area ratio of .70, it was something they casted on there as “AR 70” sounds like turbo lingo to them and it makes it have some kind of numbers and writing there like the true Mitsubishi Heavy Industries counterpart. All the China copy 16g’s have that “AR 70” on the turbine housing.
