4g63 acting up?

when im driving down the highway and i give it some gas and it gets to about 3rd gear my car will rev and 2500 like it has no power for about 5 seconds than it will kick in and start to gain speed again anyone know why this is??it still pulls strong when i put my foot to the ground just after third gear at 2500 rpm like i said it seems like its dead for 5 seconds than gains its power up again??? please help, much appreciated...

Do you have a logger? You can log the car to see what the ecu is doing when that happens.
