Ok, I was on Auto Zone's website ordering tuneup parts, Well, I went to click on Ignition coil, and it says it's "Not Required". Why? What gives it spark?

If you look closer you'll see that there are other wires to it. It gets power and the signal to the internal PTM and sends crank information back to the ECU.GSEclipse06 said:but none going from the dist to anywhere else.
