420a Timing Question

I just got home from school a few weeks ago and installed my new head. when i went to put my cams in i realized my cam gears have a notch/mark on both sides. Right now i have the pin notch on the exhaust cam facing DOWN and the intake facing UP. Can you verify that that is correct for top dead center.

When cylinder one is at top dead center the two little notches should be pointing right at each other.

Yeah, he's talking about the dowel pins. Both of his cam gears have the notches on each side of the cam gear. Therefore, he could have his cams in upside down but still have lines that line up. Good that the first pic in that write up shows dowel pin location. Intake is down and exhaust is up. So his cams are in upside down.
