420A 420a engine pull

I’m currently in the process of pulling my 420a so I can rebuild it but I’ve never pulled an engine before and was wondering if I can disconnect the transmission from the engine while in park before pulling it and just leave the transmission in the engine bay.

Unbolt the torque convertor from the flex plate and the engine will come straight up and out. You'll have to use a pry bar to separate the belhousing from the block since the dowel pins are a half inch deep.
