I am about to pull my engine/tranny combo in my 2G, need to know where the best location would be to secure the pull chain ends. I assume one end would be to an exhaust manifold bolt but where would be the best location for the other end?

I usually just take a yellow 5000 lb ratchet strap and wrap it around the exhaust and intake manifolds. Has not failed me yet!

Thank you....I do have one bracket but the other by the valve cover has been removed. I hope to be able to pull the engine by the end of the week....got a few projects going on in the shop at the same time.

One important tips I wish I had known the first time is use as short of a chain as possible. As clearance became an issue for me towards the end. So don't use a balancer imo
