420A dsm runs 14s at the shootout my weekend

I'm posting about my brothers car that we took to the shootout. If anyone has any videos of it I would love to have them its a silver 2G with 8 Bolt on the back window.

So this is how our weekend began Friday morning at 2am we got the car finished. But the car was super dirty from sitting for over 3 years so we drove it down the street to the car wash got back and headed to bed. Woke up at 7 and loaded the car we were ready to go by 9. Made it to the shop and it was packed with cars. From there we went to the campground checked in and then headed off to the track.

At the track I found out that my computer battery is junk and the power inverter would quit working when we cranked it. I told him just to watch the wideband He goes up for his first ever pass in this car and spins bad had a 2.6 60ft made a second pass same thing. Went back to the campground got hammered ant told him that he should try a burnout in second.

Made it back to the track around 1 on sat i worked on the warm up tune. He made a pass but the 2 step quit working so he said he was around 6000 rpm car still ran a better 60 than the night before. I tried to get the 2step working but couldn't. Made another pass this one he left around 3500 went 15.6 ish he said it was way rich the hole pass so i pulled sum fuel. looked at the plugs and put 5* more timing in it. Ran a 2.2 60 and went 14.907 @90.43 called it a night at that

Sunday the air was worse and the car only went 15.3s all day but he did cut a .001 light in bracket 2 and went on to get Second in the class over all we had a great weekend. please like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/team8boltracing and if you have any questions about the car just ask .

I remember seeing it make some runs over the weekend. Nice job with 2nd overall. One of our buddies tried talking with your brother about the car and got the cold shoulder. It would be cool to see a mod list on the vehicle.

Mod list hear goes stock suspension struts springs and all. The engine we picked up from a junkyard I ported the head on it and we put half of the valves 1mm over size it has the bigest regind delta could do for cams. Intake is an obx with a 68mm dodge throttle body dcsports 4,2,1 header. Also has arp head studs. For drivetrain we welded the diff and a comp stage 2 cluctch and al Flywheel. Also has a underdrive crank pulley. That's about it as far as engine mods we are tuneing with ms2

Are you sure that had a stock suspension. We were in the cabin a couple doors down from you, had the 7 CSM/DSM's. We didn't think it had a motor in it till it started Sunday morning. It looked like it was ready for a rally. Maybe some slicks would have helped a bit?

Yea its all stock the lift comes from the car being way light its only 2095 with out driver. Slicks would probly helped sum but the es100s that are still on from its street car days worked better than I though.

We were wondering why it sat so high, that makes sense with it being gutted practically. Very cool what you guys did with the car and were able to accomplish. Nice job, again.

Thank you I think theres still .2 or so left in it we are going to swich to 1600cc injectors and e85. Then turbo it and see how much the stock bottom end will take before going to the al rod motor. Theres probably 50lbs still to come out yet and still stay all steel and glass.

Grats on the time, I found it hard to beleive, but after seeing the shots under the hood, and the curb weight, makes complete sense, that car weighs nothing! Also still a lot of room to reduce weight and grab power, if you wanted to invest you could easily get much lower!

Thanks I'm going to be makeing a fiberglass carbon hood at sum point and we hope to have the turbo on by next year.

Sry about that. Can you recall when it was? I tried to talk and be cool with anybody that came up to me but may have had a bad moment or just missed him.
