I've decided to go with the 2.2 stroker kit from Howell and their head rebuild kit, as well. I would like to know what would be the best cams to run 15psi daily and 30psi at the track.? 10's, 12's, 14's, 16's, or 18's? It's just one of the things I haven't had the time to research the science behind. Thanks.

the 10s and 12s are definately out the question cause of the 30 PSI, the 14s I think are teh nitrous grind so iono bout that one. Id go with either the 16s or 18s. the 18s being more aggresive ofcourse.
Sorry if this doesnt help much. its all I know.

that's actually ass backwards the 16's and 18's are out teh question. You do not want to much overlap and lift with turbo setup on our cars. Our heads are not built like the turbo heads. I would not run anything bigger than a crower turbo or stage 3/4 race cam or a crane turbo grind with a setup like that.

whatever happened to the time before parts had stages. so are those the 10's 12 or 14's that you're alking about slippi? I'm thinking it might be the best bang for my buck to just get the 2.2 long block that howell offers rather than getting all of my stuff machined and prepped for doing the same thing. if so it'll be .40 over bore and I'll need something slightly agressive. just want to know what to put in the cam size slot, given my goals.

Yeah either at most(most aggressive) crane 14's or turbo grind crower cams. WHich is up to you but I'm a crower guy even after my experience which I won't get into.

crane 14s are the turbo grind in case it still wasn't clear. I've got the 14s on my turbo'd 2.2L and I think it's great, but I have no way to compare it to the same setup with crane 12s, or crowers, so there's no way to really know.
